Ms. Michelle Bartolone gained 15
years of extensive sales and marketing experience working for various
hotel chains before launching Meeting Sites Pro, Inc. in March 2000.
Her background includes consulting for Pfizer, Inc. in their Meetings
and Conventions Department. This experience paved the ground for Ms.
Bartolone to pursue her entrepreneurial passion. With her ambition
and strong desire to succeed, Meeting Sites Pro has made its mark in the meeting management
Meeting Sites Pro plans over 120 successful meetings and events each year and enjoys support from many client heavyweights including Gilead Pharmaceuticals, Johnson & Johnson, LifeScan, US Navy, Motorola, Axcan, Ligand Pharmaceuticals, and Innovive Pharmaceuticals. They specialize in small to medium size meetings and events ranging in size from 5 to 500 people. They are in the business of planning successful meetings and live by a rigorous code of business ethics which defines their corporate values and shapes their business practices.
Ms. Bartolone received her Bachelor's degree in Business Management from San Diego State University. She also earned a certification as a meeting planner: the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation. Over the years, she has been served as a committee and board member with several industry associations including San Diego Business Travelers Association, Alliance for Continuing Medical Education, Healthcare Convention & Exhibitors Association, and Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association. She served on the Executive Board of Directors for MPI as VP of Education for two years (2003-2005) and now instructs the San Diego CMP study group.
Ms. Bartolone has received recognition for the following prestigious awards: Women Who Mean Business, San Diego Business Journal, 2005; Susan B. Anthony "Leadership" Award, 2005; Delores Braswell "Mentoring" Award, 2005; and Meeting Planner of the Year, 2003 & 2004.
As a strong advocate of continuing education, Ms. Bartolone volunteers as a panelist and speaker for San Diego State University, University of California at San Diego's Meeting & Event Program, and the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau. She is active in many community activities, including visiting the terminally ill at Kaiser Permanente to sing carols over the holidays, cooking and serving meals to the poor through Rachel’s House, and inspiring homeless children at St. Vincent de Paul. Ms. Bartolone enjoys mentoring others and helping them succeed in the meeting and event planning industry.
Still full of ambition and a strong desire to succeed, Ms. Bartolone launched CME Pro in October 2004 which exists to foster advances in the medical community by providing and sponsoring CME activities which seek to strengthen and expand medical knowledge common medical arenas. CME Pro is nationally accredited through the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and by the Accreditation Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) to provide continuing education programs to physicians and pharmacists.
